The new Blackberry Z10 has been out for a few weeks, and whilst it seems to be gaining some traction with consumers, there still seems to be a lack of backing from manufactures in the same vein as app developers, and as such a slight lack of good Blackberry Z10 cases are on offer.
The new range of BlackBerry Z10 cases include Barely There, Woods, Tough, Signature Flip and Brushed Aluminium and Case-Mate has a partnership with BlackBerry enabling them to make accessories available for BlackBerry devices as they launch.
The Barely There case is an ultra-slim, snap-on case with a patterned silicone interior liner for cushioning and protection and color options are black or white. This case has a soft touch finish.
The Artistry Woods case is made from a single piece of premium, exotic hardwood with each case having a unique grain pattern. This one comes in Rosewood or Zebrawood with accents of aircraft-grade brushed aluminium stripes.
On to the Tough BlackBerry Z10 cases and as you would expect this is extremely durable with an impact resistant polycarbonate hard shell and shock-absorbing cushion to the interior. A flexible bumper gives a perfect fit and it’s easy to grip as it has a rugged textured finish.
Next BlackBerry Z10 cases is the Signature Flip case handcrafted from genuine leather for a first-class look and feel and offering 360 degree protection for both the front and back of the BlackBerry Z10. The interior lining is made from an ultra-soft microfiber for added.
The BlackBerry Flip Shell Case for the BlackBerry Z10 offers a happy balance of protection and functionality. Like the Transform Shell for the Z10, the Flip Shell has the ability to turn into a handy multimedia kickstand for the Z10, but in comparison to the Transform Shell provides more protection on all sides. The magnetic flip closure also helps to preserve battery life by putting the Z10's display to sleep when closed and saves a swipe by automatically powering up and unlocking the display when opened.
Finally there’s the Brushed Aluminium case, meticulously designed and crafted with aircraft-grade aluminium and a brushed finish. A gunmetal hard shell around the perimeter of the case gives a striking look and yet the case offers sleek minimalism, in much the same way as the Z10 smart phone.
A lot of the BlackBerry Z10 cases above either provide back & side protection or wrap around, however the screen is one of the more expensive parts and definitely needs some care of its own to avoid scratches and smudges. Invisible shield does a good job of keeping this safe, and a handy application tool (with a bit of practice) will ensure a bubble-free, protected screen.
